SpaceX Falcon 9 Landing in San Pedro
SpaceX’s Falcon 9 Rocket successfully launched and returned from space the day we arrived here in San Pedro! Eddie’s sister Jane and family joined us for an afternoon harbor cruise through the Port of Los Angeles and we got to see the historic rocket ship up close! The Falcon 9 is the first orbital class rocket capable of re-flight. The rockets are designed to be recycled to reduce costs of traveling to space and enabling people to eventually live on other planets. Wow!! History in the making! We had a fun day cruising through all the massive container ships and watched the sunset behind the iconic Angel’s Gate Lighthouse. Built in 1913, it is the only lighthouse in the world that emits an emerald colored light.
